Stories of Support

Whizz Kidz

“We were delighted to receive £4,500 which will provide 3 specialist buggies to young wheelchair users.

We are currently experiencing unprecedented demand for our clinical service. Rising costs, combined with strict criteria in the NHS, means that Whizz Kidz is stepping in to fill the gap in the provision and ensure that young people can access the wheelchairs and life-changing mobility equipment they need.

Your donation means that our team can continue to deliver our transformative work, giving opportunities to young wheelchair users that many of their non-disabled peers take for granted.

We are so grateful for your support towards our work – THANK YOU.“

Charlie House

“THANK YOU for the amazing donation of £5,837 towards our 2026/2027 Siblings’ Activities Programme. We genuinely can’t begin to THANK YOU enough for your wonderful support.

We want to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to The Fence Club for funding this programme once again for the next financial year. In total, since 2018, we have received £24,823.

Your ongoing support and commitment is making a profound impact on so many children and families across the North East of Scotland. Thanks to your ongoing support, siblings can experience moments of joy, connection and adventure which may otherwise have felt out of reach

Charlie House receives no statutory funding, so it truly is only thanks to the kindness of our supporters that we are able to offer our full programme of activities and support to over 120 families across the region.”

Manchester Foundation Trust Charity

“THANK YOU for your incredible support of our Rocket Scanner Appeal. With your help, more children will be able to approach MRI scans with courage and confidence, rather than fear. We are deeply grateful for your generosity.

The second Rocket Scanner has been ordered for patients at Wythenshawe Hospital. Your donation of £5,000 was a big part of making that happen – so THANK YOU! All of this means that, in a few short months, we can start to help children work through their fear and anxiety with playful, enjoyable experiences.

With support from charitable trusts like The Fence Club, we are able to fund projects that make a difference to children’s lives. So, THANK YOU for being a major part of making that happen with your donation to our Rocket Scanner Appeal.”

The Children's Adventure Farm Trust

“I just wanted to say a very sincere THANK YOU for your grant of £1,100 and for your amazing toy donation, you have brought smiles to so many faces, and we really can’t thank you enough for that. You’ve made a huge difference and given these children a Christmas they will remember for all the right reasons! There’s absolutely no way we could run our festive visits without the support of our amazing donors, without you the CAFT Christmas magic simply wouldn’t happen!

It’s my pleasure to announce that 3,741 children enjoyed a festive visit to CAFT in 2025. It warms our hearts to remember the smiles and laughter we witnessed every day of our festive programme, so many memories made that will be treasured forever. We must also consider the benefit of these visits to the parents/carers who also accompanied the children for both family and group visits – improving relationships, encouraging communication and building confidence.”

Your generous donation of £3,000 will help us provide prompt, specialist 1:1 therapy to 10 children struggling with mental health issues. We will also be able to purchase 10 weighted blankets to help children with emotional and physical regulation during therapy sessions, thanks to your kind donation.

On behalf of the children and families your donation will support, grateful thanks for all who made this grant possible, we really do appreciate your support.”
